Boscombe Youth ABC Boxing Club in Bournemouth is committed in its aim to produce Boxers that can compete at high levels and reach their individual potential within boxing. 

Boscombe Youth ABC is a amateur boxing club which anyone can join so your age, gender, race and religions are welcomed here. Beginners and experienced boxers can come to the gym. We have several carded and keep fitters in the gym. Boscombe Youth ABC prides itself on producing talented Boxers and giving an opportunity to everyone with the correct attitude and work ethic to train hard and achieve personal goals.

Boscombe Youth ABC is a private boxing gym in Bournemouth for professional & amateur athletes and private clients; we are open to the community during public hours. Members must be willing to train at an intensive pace, with the overall aim of improving their boxing ability and attaining a high level of fitness.

But there’s more to Boscombe Youth ABC than gloves and pads. We use unique techniques to promote all-over fitness. We have male and female clients and know just how to motivate you to make every second of a session count…

At Boscombe Youth ABC we have made sure that all of our facilities are in accordance with the ABAE (Amateur Boxing Association of England) guidelines. Our gym is well lit and well ventilated to give the best atmosphere.

1 to 1 Training

Are you looking to get in serious shape but cannot make it to group classes?  Then Private 1-on-1 training is perfect for you. Great for all fitness levels, excellent way to lose weight, tone up, get fit, and learn self defense while training. Every session is carefully configured differently to enable you to learn a wide selection of techniques and to make every session even more stimulating. Rates vary depends on trainers and training schedule (private or public hours).

One to one or private group training is the best and quickest way to achieve your fitness goal. Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, improve physical fitness or learn specific boxing techniques, Simon will put together a personalised six-week programme that will get you to where you want to be. Sessions include cardio, strength work, pad work, footwork, flexibility and toning exercises.

Junior Boxing

Boxing is one of the best ways to build a strong foundation in a child’s life, and our class will help your child to be ready for different challenges in life.

At Boscombe Youth ABC, we help kids grow mentally and physically by introducing them how to train like a boxer.  While kids learn how to become a boxer, they will also learn the concept of self-discipline as they go through different challenges in the boxing gym, and their self-confidence will grow as a person

The kids boxing classes we can provide include the certified ABA programs discussed in the kids boxing section of this website, but we also do kids boxercise classes, and just general boxing fitness.

We provide all the equipment (gloves, skipping ropes etc) and ALL of our kids boxing classes are NON CONTACT. We are full insured, first aid trained and have up to date CRBs. We also comply with the Amateur Boxing Association Child Protection Policy.

Youth & Adult Boxing

All of our classes are suitable for beginners. We have new people starting with us every week, so if you’re new to all this don’t worry, we are very friendly and you won’t be by yourself.

Some of our classes include sparring, which is optional and something we understand is not for everyone. Naturally most beginners prefer to hit the pads than do sparring, so you won’t feel left out if you don’t want to do it.

Whether your aim is to compete as a fighter or you just want to improve your fitness, we’re confident you’ll find training with us everything you expect and more.

This class will teach you the fundamentals of Boxing. You will develop your technique, footwork, combinations, as well as your defence. Boxing training is great for building fitness and losing weight. Many people choose this class because they enjoy hitting the pads and like a good workout.

Urban Youth Self Defence

Being picked on or Bullied?

Train with us and you will not have to worry about it anymore. We have set up a facility within our club to allow people to get the training they need to make sure that they can fend for themselves on the streets if need be.

There is no particular training programme that we have for this and so you will be taught a wide variety of M.M.A to make sure that almost every possible scenario is covered and that you are fully aware of the dangers around you and how to defend yourself if need be.

Our instructor for this is Joao Santos, a Black belt in Jujitsu, who is also a former world champion. If there is anyone it is him that can instruct you on how to defend yourself on the streets. Be sure to check out his YouTube channel for a brief demonstration of what he can teach you.

We welcome all ages from youths to adults, mums, and dads at all ages. Our headquarters for this training is currently located at our Boscombe Youth ABC training facility. We are fully A.B.A registered (amateur boxing association). We have been fully C.R.B checked.
